Prudnikova Alisa

Alisa Prudnikova (Ekaterinburg, Russia) is a director of the Ekaterinburg Branch of the National Centre for Contemporary Arts (Russia). She is also a member of the Art Critics and Art Historians Association (AIS) and Editor-in-Chief of ZAART, a magazine for the creators and consumers of art, dedicated to the analysis of the cultural situation in the Ural region. She teaches at the Ural State Gorky University Department of Art History and Cultural Studies. Courses taught: Introduction to Contemporary Art, Project Management in Arts. She is currently working on her PhD dissertation entitled "Representation and Technological Mediation of the Body in Art".

She is a curator of numerous local and international exhibitions and art projects, and an organizer and participant of more than 15 international conferences. Her academic interests include new technologies in art, representation of the Body, new media, performance, bioart, problems of national and local identity, public art, creative industries, institutional management in Arts.

Since 2005 has been the director of the Ekaterinburg Branch of the National Centre for Contemporary Arts (Russia).
