Boris Turetsky. Photo by Valery Orlov

Boris Turetsky was one of the first artists in Russia to work with abstract painting. In this artist’s works black-and white graphics can be found next to color paintings, large-format figurative gouache paintings made in a grotesquely monumental way, and assemblages – “objective paintings” consisting of fragments of everyday objects. During the meeting, Boris Turetsky’s works will be displayed in order to illustrate his complicated, multi-stage career.
