Ekaterina Inozemtseva

Born in 1983 in Moscow. Graduated from the Faculty of Philology at Lomonosov Moscow State University; in 2007, received her PhD there. In 2002-2003, studied at Humboldt University in Berlin.

In 2003-2004, worked at the National Centre for Contemporary Arts in Moscow, then at Gary Tatintsian Gallery.

In 2006-2011, was curator and deputy art director at PROUN Gallery (Moscow), where she curated numerous exhibitions of Russian and European avant-garde. Her projects included the first retrospective of Ukrainian avant-garde artist Vassily Ermilov in Kiev (at Mistetsky Arsenal), and Proches exhibition in Paris (2010), to name just a few.

In 2011-2014, was chief curator and deputy director at Multimedia Art Museum (Moscow), where she curated over 50 projects.

Starting from November 2014, works as curator at Garage Museum of Contemporary Art.

Author and editor of numerous texts for magazines and exhibition catalogues, including the catalogue of the 4th Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art.

Laureate of Kariatida Prize (2013) awarded for best contemporary art initiatives carried out by women in Russia.
