Dmitry Bulatov is artist, art researcher, and initiator of exhibitions and publications in the fields of science art and new media. His works were on view at various exhibitions and festivals, including the 49th and 50th Venice Biennales (2001 and 2003), Ars Electronica (2002), and many more. He organized and curated over twenty international projects and exhibitions, such as SOFT CONTROL: Art, Science, and the Technological Unconscious, presented within the framework of the program Maribor – European Capital of Culture 2012.
Lectures and took part in conferences in Russia, USA, Canada, Germany, Mexico, Singapore, and Hong Kong. In 2007, The Wired magazine included him in the top 10 authors of the most exciting new organisms. Dmitry is member of editorial boards of DOC(K)S (France) and NOEMA (Italy) magazines on contemporary art.
He is two-times winner of INNOVATION Prize (2008 and 2013). In 2014, was nominated for the Golden Nica award of Prix Ars Electronica (Austria) in the category of Visionary Pioneers of Media Art.
