Anders Kreuger

Born in 1965. Apart from museum work, he is one of the editors of the London-based art journal Afterall. Previously he was Director of the MalmöArt Academy and Exhibitions Curator at Lunds konsthall, in his native Sweden.

In 2007-2010 Kreuger was a member of the Programme Team for the European Kunsthalle in Cologne. 
In 2007-2008 he advised the Raqs Media Collective in their capacity as curators of Manifesta 7 in Bolzano, Italy.
In 2006 he launched the project Calcutta Art Research in Kolkata, together with artist Praneet Soi. 
In 2003-2004 he taught at the MA Curating Contemporary Art of the Royal College of Art in London. 
In 1995-1999 he was Director of NIFCA, the Nordic Institute for Contemporary Art, in Helsinki. 
In 1991-1995 he was Director of the Nordic Information Office in Vilnius.
Kreuger has authored and edited numerous publications. Among his independently curated exhibitions are The Continental Unconscious: Contemporary Art and the Finno-Ugrian World at KUMU in Tallinn in 2008, The Violence of Tone at W139 in Amsterdam in 2004 and Self-Esteem: Lithuanian Art 01 at the CAC Vilnius in 2001.
