Daria Parkhomenko

Daria Parkhomenko was born in Moscow in 1983. 
She is curator focusing on interactions between contemporary art and science. In 2008, founded the independent non-profit center LABORATORIA Art&Science Space.

Her curatorial projects include: Quantum Entanglement (collective exhibition, Laboratoria Art& Science Space, 2014), Ice Laboratory (collective exhibition, Laboratoria Art& Science Space, 2013), Frontier (collective exhibition, Laboratoria Art& Science Space, 2013), Brainstorms: Artist in the Context of Neuro-Sciences (international symposium, Polytechnic Museum, 2012), Dust (collective exhibition, Laboratoria Art& Science Space, 2012), Neuroscience Experiment 1: Measuring the Magic of Mutual Gaze (solo project by Marina Abramovic, Garage Center for Contemporary Culture, 2011), Infusion (collective exhibition, Laboratoria Art& Science Space, 2011), Tele-Present Wind (solo exhibition by David Bowen, Laboratoria Art& Science Space, 2010), The Egg of Columbus (collective exhibition, Laboratoria Art& Science Space, 2010), and LABORATORIA: Experiment 1 (collective exhibition, Laboratoria Art& Science Space, 2008). 

In 2006, graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences of Lomonosov Moscow State University. In 2007, obtained the Russo-British degree (MA in Cultural Management) from the Moscow High School of Social and Economic Sciences. Author of numerous publications in Russia and abroad. Initiated and took part in Russian and international symposia and seminars. Teaches at MediaArtLab Open School.

In 2011, was member of the jury of Ars Electronica festival (Linz, Austria). In 2014, received the Caryatid Prize for contemporary art initiatives carried out by women.
