The program of the concert is composed by the music of American composers (John Cage, Morton Feldman, Alvin Lucier, Frederic Rzhevsky), connected with the theme of the protest. About MCME

The ensemble, united the leading virtuoso soloists, was created in 1990 by composer Yuri Kasparov with the direct participation of the leader of the national avant-garde Edison Denisov. MASM became the first Russian ensemble, aimed at the execution and promotion of music of the XX and XXI century.
The basic structure of MASM is a quintet (flute, clarinet, violin, cello, piano), while the composition often extends to a large ensemble and chamber orchestra. Thanks to the experience and qualifications of the musicians in the arsenal of the ensemble - works of various epochs from the Baroque to our days, unique programs, exclusive instrumental versions. However, the main task of the team is to present the actual creativity of Russian and foreign composers, including young authors - on his account more than 1000 Russian and world premieres.
A special place in the repertoire of MASM is the Russian musical avant-garde of the twentieth century. At one time the collective rediscovered the names of Roslavets, Mosolov, Vyshnegradsky, Lurie, and enriched the philharmonic repertoire with works by the composers of the sixties Edison Denisov, Alfred Schnittke, Sofia Gubaidulina, Galina Ustvolskaya. At the invitation of IAMA, outstanding composers came to Russia, among them Janis Ksenakis, Gyorgy Kurtagh, Anatole Vieru, Frederik Rzhevsky, Louis Andrissen, Theo Luvendi, Gerard Zinstag, Beat Furrer, Klaus Lang, Philippe Leroux, Marc Andre.
The group toured in 80 Russian cities and 28 countries, performed at major festivals such as the Diaghilev Festival (Perm), Other Space (Moscow), the Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art, Radio-France Presence (France), Warsaw Autumn (Poland), Gaudeamus Music Week (The Netherlands), FrankfurtFest, Maerzmusic-Berlinerfestspiele (Germany), Klangspuren (Austria), Transart (Italy), Beijing Modern Music Festival (China). The team collaborated with such conductors as Beat Furrer, Jurien Hempell, Theodore Curentzis, Enno Poppe, Fedor Lednev, Alexei Vinogradov, Vladimir Ponkin, Olivier Kyuanda, Philippe Chizhevsky, Jean Derouaye, saxophonist Claude Delangle, harpsichordist Eljbetoj Hoynacka, etc. Every year MASM gives about 80 concerts in Russia and abroad.
Discography MASM has more than 50 CDs on the world's leading labels in Russia, France, Britain, the Netherlands and Japan.
