Circus performance by the

RACE HORSE COMPANY (Finland)

On the opening day

of the 11th "Contemporary Art in Traditional Museum" Festival

The RUSTY ROAD CIRCUS show will be performed on the opening day of the "Contemporary Art in Traditional Museum" Festival. An old wagon entering the courtyard… this is how a simple plot will turn into a swift circus show. Acrobat will hop of the wagon to start a performance that a whole family may enjoy. The show premiered in 2009 at the Helsinki Contemporary Circus Festival and was performed more than 40 times in Finland, Sweden, Latvia, and Lithuania.

The RACE HORSE COMPANY troupe was created in 2008 by Rauli Kosonen, Petri Tuominen, and Kalle Lehto who were seeking new audacious forms. The performances are based on the aesthetic of chaos, humour and surprise. RACE HORSE COMPANY has always been a road circus, its final goal being ‘conquering the world’. The circus has visited Europe, North America, Australia, and Asia.

Welcome to the RUSTY ROAD CIRCUS show on the Festival opening day.
