“The fort is like a fortified border, like a line between two spaces “one’s own and another’s ”. The fort is a kind of a pinhole camera, where the picture of the world, observed through loopholes, can be considered by the artist upside down. The sea horizon is a potential line. danger or alluring line of freedom? Or is it the "waiting line", like the heroine the ancient Greek myth Penelope, "that in despair, then again believing that he will return," she keeps loyalty to odyssey. The space inside the fort, however pragmatic, is also mysterious. Narrow corridors - batteries with remnants of rail, small rooms for storing shells with mysterious holes in the walls like Anish Kapoor, wet floor, even in the heat of summer, and echoing echoes, settled in this concrete casket forever. We offer artists to create objects and installations that would reveal the concepts of “boundaries”, “horizon”, relations “one's own — alien”, discoveries of “new land”, “expectations”. In addition, we are interested in historical interventions based on the artistic interpretation of the genius loci ”, Elena Gubanova
