About Bengü Gün:

Bengü Gün (Mersin, 1982) after receiving her B.A. degree in Business Administration from Boğaziçi University, Istanbul (2005), she pursued M.A. in Anatolian Civilizations and Cultural Heritage Management at Koç University, Istanbul (2007) with a thesis on “Collection Management Policy for a Musical Instruments Museum”. In 2007, she worked as a consultant in ‘Dubai Culture Foundation Project’. The project was mainly on improving the culture industry and enriching the cultural environment in Dubai, which was one of the fundamental objectives of the “Dubai Strategic Plan” for 2015. She worked as a management consultant in diverse industries in Abu Dhabi, Azerbaijan, İstanbul, Kuwait and South Africa. In 2011, she started to work at Istanbul Museum of Modern Art as the Membership Manager bringing together her experience on loyalty programs and museum studies. Since it was founded in 2012, she is working as the director of Mixer Art Gallery, which is one of the most dynamic contemporary art platforms in Istanbul especially for young and emerging artists and for collectors who are seeking to discover fresh artists. Mixer is searching for the most exciting new talents with groundbreaking approach trying to make it accessible to a wider audience with an innovative exhibition and events calendar.
