The North-Western Branch of the National Centre for Contemporary Arts - STATE MUSEUM AND EXHIBITION CENTER ROSIZO in collaboration with CEC ArtsLink Back Apartment Residency Program presents an artist-talk as a part of monthly public lectures by international artists and curators.
An artist-talk will be given by Joshua Goode, an artist who has already been to St. Petersburg in 2016 taking part in residency program. This year he has come to Russia again for his solo exhibition opening in Moscow Maxim Boxer Gallery. At the lecture Joshua is going to talk about the key artifacts of his imaginary Taxes Empire, mentioning his last archeological discoveries in the context of his London, NYC, St. Petersburg projects. Also, Goode is going to present a developing art-scene of Texas and talk about different opportunities for foreign artists’ participation in it.
Joshua Goode was born in Fort Worth, Texas in 1981. He has received his MFA from Boston University and has participated in residencies in Russia, Germany, Finland, and Spain. Joshua is researching and developing mythic historical misinterpretations and manipulations.
