Donato Piccolo (Rome, 1976), multimedia artist, lives and works in Rome.

He participated in the 52 and 54th Venice Biennale and exhibited in important museums in Italy, Europe and the United States:  MACRO, Rome / Cini Foundation, Venice (Italy) / Luciano Benetton collection, Torino (Italy) / Fondation Francès, Senlis (France) / Galleria Civica, Modena (Italy) / Boghossian Foundation, Brussels (Belgium) / Beyond Museum, Seoul / George Kolbe Museum, Berlin (Germany) / ISCP, New York (USA) / SMart, Shanghai (China).

His art explores natural and emotional phenomena through painting, installations, kinetic sculpture, with technological and mechanical tools. Donato analyze cognitive faculties and perceptive aspects of the natural world.

The artwork achieved in Kronstadt will be part of the educational program within which the artist will give a master class entitled "Thinking of the unthinkable."

The exhibition and master class will be held at the Youth Education Center of the State Hermitage (St. Petersburg) and will be focusing on the relationship between art and science. The exhibition will work from November 7 to November 12, 2017
