From January 16 to February 10, 2015 artist Daria Sharygina (Moscow) worked on the land art project "Dialogues" at the NCCA Art residence in Kronstadt.
Daria Sharygina was born in Moscow; she recieved her first training in Moscow College of Architecture and Civil Engineering as an architect and interior designer. In 2004 Darya graduated from the Free Workshops program at the Moscow Museum of Contemporary Art (Olga Shishko’s class Topical Issues in Contemporary Art). In 2012 graduated from the Moscow Architectural Institute (State Academy). Now she works in Moscow as an architect and photographer. As an artist she is specialized in performances, videos and installations.
Daria Sharygina created a conceptual project-manifesto titled Museum of Noise and Silence in Moscow (supervised by V. Soshnikov). In 2008-2009 she took part in the MOSCONSTRUCT project and in 2007-2008 in Liza Schmitz and MARCHI Students project – installations LABYRINTH and LAByrinth 02.
In 2009 she won the media façade competition in Munster (Germany) with 4 videos co-created with A. Mukovozova and M. Tchernov.
In 2012 Daria Sharygina won the competition and was awarded the diploma of the International Union of Architects for her project Architecture of Feelings (created in cooperation with I. Kopychino and I. Shipuk).
In 2014 she participated in the Festival of Premiere Performances. Cistern Dreams: An Overnight Concert for Deep Listeners (New York) and an anti-war exhibition Helicon Art Center within the framework of I:O – Koktebel Art Residence in Turkey.
