"Immobility in Art"

At the master-class Victor Alimpiev will invite to consider some works of art (not only visual) from the viewpoint of such a specific thing as immobility.

Viktor Alimpiev was born in Moscow in 1973. Graduated from the Moscow Academic Art School in Memory of 1905; the educational program "New Strategies in Contemporary Art Education” of the Institute of Contemporary Art in Moscow; and the Valand Academy of Arts at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Participated in the 1st and 2nd Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art, the 4th Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art, the Venice Film Festival (2005, 2010). Alimpiev’s works are in the collections of the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (MMOMA), Tate Modern, Centre Pompidou, Cultural Foundation "Ekaterina".
