In her series of seminars St. Petersburg critic and curator Olesya Turkina reviews major events, web-resources and periodicals in the field of contemporary art both in Russia and internationally, as well as discuss with the students works made by 100 contemporary artists.
Dr. Olesya Turkina is a critic, Ph.D in Art History, Senior Research Fellow in Contemporary Art Department at the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, curator of contemporary art exhibitions in the Russian Museum (St. Petersburg), Stedelijk Museum (Amsterdam), Pori Art Museum (Finland). She was curator of the Russian Pavillion at the 48th Venice Biennial. She writes for Flash Art International magazine, and is member of the editorial board of the Moscow Khudozhestvenny Zhournal (‘Art Magazine’). She is author of more than 200 works on contemporary art.
