On May 5-7th 2012 a workshop “Introduction to Max” will be held in the framework of the International forum of experimental music and sound art “Sound around Kaliningrad”. It will be delivered by Asbjorn Blokkum Flo – an artist, programmer and manager of educational programs at the Norwegian Centre for Technology in Music and the Arts (NOTAM).
Max is a program that combines programming language and ordinary multimedia software. The aim of the workshop is to provide a basic understanding of the software which will later help the participants to work with interaction design as applied to audio, video, sensor electronics and art installations
This course provides basic training in programming in Max, as well as an understanding of digital sound modeling. The participants will achieve an understanding of working with sound and interaction design, and this will be useful for people who work with sound, composition, visual arts, interaction design, and video. The course is aimed at those with normal basic knowledge in music technology.

The workshop will be finalized by a public performance of its participants on May 7th 2012 in the Creative Workshop “Alternativa”. Feel free to come. The entrance is free of charge.
