Is it possible to tell about a city in a minute or visit 120 cities at the same time?
10 April 2010 in the “Garage” Centre for Contemporary Culture (Moscow) there will be a presentation of “City One Minutes Russia” project. Among works selected for the presentation is a video programme about Kaliningrad.
City One Minutes is a global video project, in which artists from 120 countries of the world take part. The main point of the project is to create a one-minute film series about a city by different artists. As a result a 24-minute film/installation is life of the city within 24 hours.
Kaliningrad became one of four Russian cities (as well as Moscow, Saint-Petersburg and Ekaterinburg), involved in this international project. Co-curator of the project in Kaliningrad is Oleg Blyablyas (The KB NCCA).
In the frames of the project presentation in Moscow there will be demonstration of the best Russian and world works of City One Minutes.
Full version of the project will be presented in the frames of the World Expo Exhibition that will take place in Shanghai (China) from May, 1 till October, 31 2010.
Videos shot by participants of the project are available on the special web-site www.cityoneminutes.org. They’ll be also broadcast on the digital channel of the Dutch TV Holland Doc 24.
