The project's planned events: theory lessons and practical sessions of the contemporary theatre and performance authorial course by curators-teachers Galina Myznikova and Sergey Provorov (Provmyza art group); meetings with invited experts, top figures of contemporary Russian theatre (Boris Yukhananov, Kirill Serebrennikov, Dmitry Volkostrelov, Marina Davydova and others).
Provmyza group about the project: "The cycle of lectures and practical sessions is aimed at expanding boundaries of perception of theatre as a complex developing phenomenon closely connected with culture and society at large. Modern theatrical process assumes maximum openness to any energy flow and formation of interdisciplinary model of co-creation.
Alteration of traditional concept of theatre happens via a new mode of existence of the creative process, via acquaintance with non-traditional methods of artistic statement, which lead to disappearance of narration in a play and shifting accent to figurativeness, performativity and musicality of action. Using puppets instead of actors, stage plays without audience, invention of one's own verbal language as a counter to the traditional, escape into urban spaces and even to woods, swamps and unexplored caves - it is but a short list of methods which will be offered to the course participants to use in their 'journey'".
