Exhibition of the Magic Saw fellowship of artists-illustrators continues series of exhibitions of the Graphic Study program.

Ten years ago graduates of the University of Printing Arts decided to develop experimental trends of children's illustration as a counterbalance to glamorous children's book, so-called book "fast-food"; they use classic techniques (watercolor, pastel), as well as collages from various materials: corrugated cardboard, plasticine, clay. Artists of the Magic Saw are convinced that a book must be sincere, simple, deep, soulful and amazing. They present an adult approach to a children's book and draw in such a way so as not to feel ashamed to show it to their own children.
"The link between artworks and the exhibition's title belongs to the sphere of the unknowable, unnamed, impossible. Everything that is called childhood. From that depth, when all events around us are mysterious, and all things are magic by nature... Profession of an illustrator of children's books consists in return to this condition. There is no other way - a child believes not credibility, but character, condition - of a hero, object, landscape", - say the Magic Saw artists about their work.

The exhibition presents the early and the most resent experiences in children's illustration of the Magic Saw artists and their five close friends-illustrators.
