John Cage, the famous american composer of the twentieth century and avant-garde experimentalist in music, has a huge impact not only on American culture, but also on the Russian artistic culture. Consisting of two concert programs, the festival will reflect the cross-cultural relationship which we found in the historical avant-garde of the early twentieth century.

Communication between cultures is particularly evident in the field of music, where new ideas are literally "hang in the air." The language of music is available to everyone, it is universal, everyone can appreciate the dynamics of the historical development, which is planned by the great composers of the twentieth century. Among them the John Cage's music has a special role.

John Cage is a pioneer and a direct participant in the avant-garde movement of the late second millennium. His work, which includes the very behavior of the artist, integrated the traditions of Dada, Fluxus conceptual and New Wave. In the experimental culture of John Cage naturally combine research in the topography of sound, imagery performance, where sound, its image and behavior constitute a single organic process, and "scientific" form of the methodologies to extract the sound of natural acoustics. The artist was interested in simple "non-composer" technology, built on the Buddhist principles of non-action, the use of the usual scale noise.

Music Festival in conjunction with the major exhibition, built in the style of a musical work, will introduce the general public to the achievements of the great composers of the twentieth century - John Cage.
