French artist Christian Lebrat makes experimental films, video and photography. His photo lines – large format photographs of captured movement – are exhibited in the urban environment. Lebrat founded a publishing house that specializes on publications about experimental cinema. He authored a few publications, including research in the field of latest concepts in avant-garde filmmaking (“Radical cinema”, 2008). His area of interest is the special existence of sound in video. Christian Lebrat also works with installations.
During the evening the artist will demonstrate the possibility of combining on-the-edge technology with the imagery of conceptual thinking.
The event will take place prior to the “Cinema: New Device” exhibition (June 7–July 1, NCCA Exhibition Hall), in which Christian Lebrat will also participate.
