Andrey Khzhanovski. Animation as image
21.05 - 12.06.2011, 00:00-19:00
Place: National Centre for Contemporary Arts, the small hall
Animator Andrey Khrzhanovski often collaborated with artists. Vladimir Yankilevsky, Ülo Sooster and others were his friends. Sketches for the films "Lion with grey beard", "Glass accordion", "There Lived Kozyavin" and others will be shown as part of the exhibition is NCCA's small hall; pictures and materials for the film "One and a half rooms" will also be presented. Technical incarnation of Khrzhanovski's films amazes with its carefulness and special attitude to the form – animator finished Joseph Brodsky's drawings and than used them in artistic biography of the poet. Several demonstrations of Khrzhanovski's animated films and live-action film "One and a half rooms" are supposed to be a part of the exhibition.
