Project «To see the sound» considers the phenomenon of sound visualization in figurative system of multimedia technologies. This artistic trend that has a long-standing tradition is manifested by artists who create an absolutely new language and new alternative iconology. Its imagery integrates all radical traditions of historical avant-garde into itself – noise futuristic orchestras, Dada acoustic fortuity and Fluxus sounds combinatorial analysis. In the exhibition will be presented installations and videos and also historical materials of sound experiments of 30s, collected by Andrey Smirnov in project «Z Generation». Vladimir Tarasov’s installation «The first river», Leonid Tishkov’s «Rabat», Vadim Zakharov’s «Painting. Five prophets» – all will be presented in Moscow for the first time.
