The National Centre for Contemporary Art (NCCA) will hold the annual Festival of Contemporary Art Collections for the eighth year in a row. The festival presents private, corporate and public collections of contemporary art: art objects from the second part of the 20th and early 21st century that carry in themselves the live history of the art thought process.

Curators view the formation of private collections as an organic process in the art life of contemporary Russia. Thus, the main goal of this large-scale exhibition project is to demonstrate all of the facets of contemporary art that are so hard to observe when many works are “hidden” in private collections or don’t get publicly displayed for one reason or another.
