Changes in the field of humanities that took place in 1960s-70s have led to the formation of new disciplines, in particular cultural geography, and later geopoetics.

The discussion with artists, curators and geographers, dedicated to the cooperation between this field of science and art, is meant to define the term “geographical thinking”, shed light on the artists’ interest in the issue of borders and territorial exploration as seen in their works, and reflect on the necessity of involving the physical and cultural spaces in the field of images of artistic interpretation.

The evening is followed by an exhibition created from the NCCA holdings.
